Also, do not get me wrong, I am in love with Lara Croft first and foremost, but this is the most physically attractive woman in Legend of Lara Croft (and her flippant annoyance at Lara's thievery is also attractive). I know it's late to say this, but there it is.

Anyway, while we wait for the inevitably soon to come teaser/trailer, let's make some speculative observations. In the first screenshot we got for season 2, she does not have the braid. Perhaps we will witness a seasonal arc of style evolution.

Insofar as taking screenshots in a video game can be considered an artform, my "process" involves starting with a concept, capturing shitty versions of it, and then refining until it looks good. This always makes for some fun first/final comparisons.

Alright I'm gonna try ONE MORE TIME. I don't think we're going to see this PARTICULAR BRAND of all era hodgepodge unification in mainline content. This feels like fan service for smaller side projects. I think mainline stuff will have unified elements, but mostly will have its own image.

Not only will we not see this outfit in mainline games/media, I don't think "unified lara" is gonna be a mainline thing at all. I think it's pretty much all for the side projects. Which I will purchase and enjoy. 🙏

Yes, repost again, but I want to make a point. MY idea for a "unified" lara would be to just have reboot lara glow up like this. That's literally just shadow lara with pistols, a braid, and some eye makeup (and we can change the hair). She has always been SO CLOSE.

Same location, two different fields of view settings. Low FOV (left) minimizes the apparent size difference of objects that are different distances from the camera, while a high FOV exaggerates this. With low FOV, depth perception is greatly limited.

Here is version of that photo I shared the other day but with the very pretty braid from the shadow game files more visible. It works for photos but not gameplay because it has no physics.
