My favorite meal to make when I'm depressed is (perhaps weirdly) risotto. Bc there's not a lot of other meals you can make that give you a legitimate excuse to stand there and stare at the wall for 30min straight. The only real prep is grating cheese & boiling stock, and then it's just

Having only ever lived in Ohio and Maine, it didn’t occur to me until just now that there are so many states without a single lighthouse. Kansas must be littered with crashed boats on its shores.

I am not the first person who gripe about this, and I will not be the last, but I am SO tired of people who are currently healthy doing nothing to protect themselves from transmissible diseases and then being shocked when they get sick. We proved masks work, why wouldn't you use them?
