Many great authors have read REH's works, including but not limited to:
George R. R. Martin
Robert Jordan
Stephen King
Does the one sword transform the wielder into a He-Man like character? And his loyal pet into Battle-Cat?
And the one sorcery spell creates a portal from our world (Earth) to a different world where more magic exists?
Because I'd read that.

Which I've read and very much enjoyed.
I particularly enjoyed how Kuttner depicted a character with multiple personalities. Worth reading just for that.
Have you read that book?

Seriously. The only way this would ever get done is if it was animated and so low budget that it would be a disappointment to everyone.
And, if we were lucky, an Arnold impersonator could do his voice.

Let's discuss...
Who are your favorite S&S authors and WHY?
Does Star Wars count as Sword and Sorcery? Yes or no? Why?
Is He-Man / She-Ra also Sword and Sorcery? I would argue yes*. But what do you think, and why?
* Conan and He-Man have a lot in common.

And Soljargon's joke about the necromancer teaching his apprentices how to examine a corpse is waaaaaaaaaaay funnier than anything Tyrion said in the Game of Thrones books.
So dark too.
Who knew that an author could make #necromancy funny?

It is an anthology of short stories by Richard Sexsmith, who normally writes sci fi and erotica.
Still looking forward to it. I dare say more so.

And the option to subscribe to each author's newsletter, and a mailing address for fan mail?
Do you accept snail mail from fans?
Once upon a time that was a thing. Fans would lick a stamp, apply it to an envelope, and mail a letter to their favourite author.
And if they were really lucky, the author would respond.
We don't seem to do that any more.

Pretend you're an author: It costs $8 to print your book, you sell them for $20 each.
Amazon takes 40%.
The author gets 60%, minus the printing costs.
($20 × 60%) - $8 = $4 for the author.
If sold via a BNM bookstore...
($20 × 40%) - $8 = $0 for the author.
If you order an indie book via any bricks-n-mortar bookstore the author gets paid a smaller royalty, because they get a smaller piece of the pie since the bookstore takes their share out of the author's share.

I cannot remember the title or author's name.

"The Frost Giant's Tomb" is one of the best books I have read so far in 2025. Perfect for anyone who likes Indiana Jones/Raiders of the Lost Ark, Robert E. Howard/Conan the Barbarian, and Charles Moffat's previous book "The Blizzard's Daughter".
