“Apple set the tone” when Tim Cook gave Trump an engraved, glass disc. This week, the Swiss delegation gave him a “special Rolex desktop clock” and a $130,000 gold bar.

“.. It was tough to beat Apple, but the Swiss did it," an administration official told @axios.com

Extraordinary
Liz Truss on Fox News supporting Trump suing the BBC

"There are lots of people in Britain who are cheering President Trump on and want him to sue the BBC"

"And I believe the organisation needs to be defunded"

Ian I have a seven year old son, who is very bright and visually creative, though is struggling to engage with reading. I'm thinking comics/graphic novels are a good way to go Any good suggestions for ones to draw him in?

SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.

"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

I was *sooo* annoyed by the outcome of #Celebritytraitors . The faithfuls really were useless ( ie, the traitors were *not* that good).

Good call with President Zelenskyy.

Ukraine will not face this winter alone.

The EU stands with you, providing emergency energy support to help Ukraine through the coming months.

At the same time, we are working on options to ensure the necessary sustained financial assistance to Ukraine.

A remarkable trend—one that runs fundamentally counter to the Swiss far-right’s portrayal of migrants as low-skilled:

Through the 2020s, Switzerland has become the only small country to rank among the world’s top 10 preferred destinations for highly educated young adults („the brightest and best“)
The US remains the most popular destination among educated young adults worldwide, but its lead over #2 has narrowed from 20pts to 9pts, while the UK has plummeted from a consistent #2 ranking to #7, again with a steep fall after 2016.
