For many in our community fresh fruit is a huge expense and not seen as essential. So pleased that with support from our amazing donors we were able to hand out 81 bags of fresh fruit to those in need this week. @Healthmatters

Great!
Absolutely delighted that Swindon Borough Council has been shortlisted for the Local Government Chronicle ‘Most Improved Council’ in their 2025 awards.

A real testament to the amazing work of Council officers to get behind the Labour administration and help us to #BuildABetterSwindon

Looks great, well done all!
I'm so pleased that we could put on a lights switch on event for the tree in Swindon town centre this year. Pleased and, to be a bit Ted Lasso, grateful - because we literally couldn't have done it without partners like the Wyvern, Swindon Dance & especially Radio 105.5 going above and beyond. 🙏🎄🎅

Exciting times for sport in South Swindon!
Have your say on Swindon’s latest sports hub.🏅

We're working with Wroughton Parish Council to develop a new sports hub in at Wichelstowe which could include:

⚽ a floodlit all-weather pitch
🌿 grass pitches
🏠 a pavilion with changing rooms (and potentially a community space and café)
😆 play areas

Housing and Planning are huge for Swindon, with big developments in the North and East, as well as Wichelstowe, so great to see Will taking a lead on these important matters.
Great catching up with @matthewpennycook.bsky.social, Minister for Housing & Planning, to discuss leasehold & freehold issues. Many in Swindon North, from Tadpole Gardens to Priory Vale, are affected. Glad the Govt is committed to ending these outdated practices for fairer, more transparent systems!

A lively SBC full council on Thursday, with the second motion in consecutive meetings from the Tories seeking to attack the national government rather than focusing on Swindon issues. So @jimrobbins.bsky.social decided to lay out some facts... www.facebook.com/labourswindo...

Very excited to see @heidialexander.bsky.social take the reins at the Ministry of Transport! This is fantastic for Swindon, a town inextricably linked with transport, now at the heart of government's transport policy. Good luck Heidi!
