I took part in this year’s 2025 Industry and Parliament Trust Poppy Ride, in partnership with the Royal British Legion, and cycled 3.45 km in 5 minutes!
All money raised going to the RBL to provide lifelong financial, social, and emotional support for the Armed Forces community.

Last week, I had the privilege of chairing the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Fairs and Circuses, where we addressed several key issues currently impacting the sector.
The fairground and circus industries are part of Britain’s living heritage. It’s vital that we continue working together.

I’ve written to the Minister for the Future of Roads to request a meeting to discuss how my Road Traffic (Unlicensed Drivers) Bill, also known as the Harry Parker Bill, could be incorporated into the Government’s forthcoming Road Safety Strategy.

Thank you to Swindon Borough Council and everyone who did the town proud with such a moving and important event.

Great to visit world leaders in composite technology, a South West success now pioneering recyclable, bendable composite printing. Strengthening supply chains for drone manufacturers across the defence M4 corridor, from Swindon to Reading. A brilliant example of local innovation.

I had a great time showing the 1st Haydonwick Rangers round parliament! It's so important for young people to come up and see how parliament works and they got to watch a debate in the chamber. One of the Rangers decided after this visit to add politics to her Uni course in Law!

It was a true honour to be able to plant a remembrance tribute to those in Swindon North
who gave their lives in service to our country.
As we approach Remembrance Sunday, I’m reminded how important it is to come together to reflect on their legacy.
Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As an officer for the APPG for Women in Defence, it was great to attend and discuss the importance of expanding opportunities for women in STEM, improving policies around domestic abuse within the Armed Forces community, and strengthening safeguarding measures for 16- and 17-year-olds in the Army.

The government have brought in Awaab's Law, in memory of Awaab Ishak who tragically died in 2020 because of the high levels of mould in the house he was living in. The government vowed to fix this and by bringing in Awaab's Law are doing just that.

❄️ 🎅 This year I'm running a Christmas Card competition for Primary aged children. The winner of the competition will have their design sent out from my office to various charities, school and businesses throughout the town and is a great opportunity to show off your artistic talent!

This week I met with Minister Emma Hardy to discuss the joint letter MPs in the region sent to Thames Water regarding executive pay.
It’s not fair our bills keep rising with no accountability. We are pushing for; accountability, transparency, and fairness for bill payers.

This government's Renters' Rights Bill now allows tenants to keep pets in rental accommodations, removing blanket bans and requiring landlords to provide valid reasons for refusals.

A number of parents have reached out to me on the difficulties they're facing in getting an Educational Psychologist and so I'm pleased the government are investing in the next generation of educational psychologists with £21m of funding.

Last week I took part in a debate on the importance of financial literacy. In this role and through the work of my partner I hear a lot of stories from those who are unsure of their financial position and am keen to improve education to make citizens more confident of their finances.
