The Man Who Calcluated Death follows my aeronautical engineer grandfather, Robert Lusser, as he’s sucked into the orbit of the Nazi Regime to the end of the war. The story unfolds like a historical thriller, complete with questions of good and evil and a long overdue reckoning.
Brutality, loss, and an 80 year old mystery

Who wants to guess how many hateful comments I’ll get for posting this? It’s like estimating the jelly beans on the jar at the fair…Winner gets a goldfish.

Did the ding dongs in the administration simply borrow an idea from the Third Reich playbook? Please listen to The Man Who Calculated Death for a microcosm of WW2 Germany and how slippery is the slope we are sliding down now… #history #ancestry #ww2 #podcast #politics #nevertrump

I posted this on Instagram and made sure I did NOT use word n-zi and 200,000 views later it disappeared for violating community guidelines. I appealed and filed a report, but those disappeared too. My pt 2 and 3–SAME LANGUAGE AND SUBJECT —were left down so only the viral post was removed. WTH?

My grandfather headed the V-1 flying bomb for Nazi Germany. After the war he was categorized as a Mitläufer— a “fellow traveler” —not an active participant but a bystander. As the storm of authoritarianism gathers over my country, I won’t make the same mistake, so Hello Bluesky. #speakout #politics

Just wonderful writing on the 60 Minutes piece on President aMusk dismantling of USAID

"The world's richest man cut off aid for the world's poorest people."

Well done.

Need to remember people like Max Kolbe.
17 February 1941 | Franciscan Fr. Maximilian Kolbe was arrested by Germans in Niepokalanów. He was first sent to Pawiak prison in Warsaw and then to Auschwitz, where he finally sacrificed his life - volunteered to replace Franciszek Gajowniczek, sentenced to starvation death.

Respectfully disagree Kellywelly06. The story is multilayered. And while you are right that the Man Who Calculated Death IS about the women in my family, but there is also plenty about the man himself. would love to know what you thought of the podcast, not just the title. :)

Episode 5 of The Man Who Calculated Death, a podcast about my grandfather, who created the world’s first cruise missile for Nazi Germany, has the story of a survivor of Auschwitz. Would love your feedback @auschwitzmemorial.bsky.social
