Things seem bleak, and that's been the way of things for a few years now. Which is exactly the feeling that led me to write this book - that now has its very own webpage where you can preorder it!

A Perturbed System
A moving study of how religion shapes Western climate discourse.   Our ecological system is disturbed, and with it, every other system we’ve built to inhabit it. We do not face inevitable destruction,...

For months, I’ve been following a Canadian ostrich farm ordered to cull its flock after a bird flu outbreak. It was a cause célèbre for MAHA activists, a MAGA billionaire, and, of course, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The trucker convoy with birds ended last night. They lost. www.msnbc.com/news/news-an...
Why the conspiratorial right rallied around a flock of ostriches
The anti-vaccine, anti-government crusade to save "the miracle cure birds" is over — and the fringe activists lost.

Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.

It's simply untrue.

Crime has gone down - and crucially, we are a markedly less violent society than we once were.

We have had surveys that have shown us exactly this in the UK, France, the EU etc for many years

What we need to ask ourselves is why have journalists, politicians, academics etc chosen to focus on surveys that hype immigration

This is what I explore here:

I love to see stuff like this because it helps explain to people trapped in tech-sponsored information bubbles the actually obvious fact that universities teach people to know & think things, and AI is a way to produce the effect of knowing & thinking things w/o actually knowing & thinking them.

“Experts say AI literacy alone isn’t enough; people need platforms that foster metacognition and critical thinking to recognize when they might be wrong.”

The platform that can do this is your brain.

Unlike all the wrong answers in the comments, it's Falun Gong that's associated with the Epoch Times. If you know anything about FG (e.g. their opposition to the Chinese state and Communist party) you might see the comment about "repeating state narratives" in a different light
man you realize how far through the looking glass we have to be for someone at THE EPOCH TIMES to resign over signing the pentagon's idiotic press restrictions
