Aren’t most of Americans citizens because of birthright citizenship? In other words, it is not just restricted to those whose parents are citizens, right? Or am I misunderstanding?

Agree. People grieving are rarely in a place to know what they need. But anything that allows them to stay focused on their loved one is most welcome.
Great advice on helping someone who is grieving.

This.
It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

This is climate arson, yes, but also the entire value proposition of Tesla, the reason for its insane stock price, is that it would end up the Amazon of electric cars: the only real game in town. Killing off non-Tesla electric car infrastructure is a gift to Musk.

It’s about the data and he has it, and is going for more.
This has been my point for weeks about what Musk is after. Consolidated data from the biggest mine of information in the world. He’s so thirsty for data he’d get his hands on the nuclear codes if he could. Could he? www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...

I said to someone, the horse has left the barn; Musk and his team have copied and stolen the US databases - the most sought after and most protected databases in the world. The AI war is about data, period. Musk has won. Their response was, “well i hadn’t thought about them making copies.” #EpicFail

Rural America, this means you. You lose.
The US DOT says it's planning to prioritize areas with high marriage & high birth rates for funding.

Our new analysis @urbaninstitute.bsky.social shows this would disproportionately fund:
—Communities with a higher white resident share
—Low-density areas
—High-income areas
—Car-dependent areas
DOT’s Plan to Distribute Funding by Birth and Marriage Rates Would Leave Communities Most In Need Behind
If enacted, the new US Department of Transportation memo would prioritize funding to whiter, higher-income, more car-dependent areas over communities of color and people who walk, bike, or take public...
