Y’all. Two grade school-aged children (and their parents) just moved in upstairs. At first B & I were relieved that they’re girls, but let me tell you, the excited screaming and running around is already off the charts. Clearly we are child-free, assuming girls would be more chill. 🤦♀️

I’m an Ira Glass gal, despite the fact that, outside of a pickle spear, I am vehemently opposed to pickled veg. I can overlook it for this sandwich. 🤤
I went to Wax Paper in LA because Jenny Slate said a) the sandwiches were bomb, and b) they’re all named after NPR hosts, and I indeed had something of a religious experience with the Terry Gross (turkey on focaccia with a jalapeño/radish slaw, like what the hell is this sorcery).

I don’t watch the World Series when the Dodgers are playing because it’s too stressful. I just listen for the reactions of my neighbors & check the score when they’re whooping it up.
I’m enjoying the games and the drama, but I honestly believe if I was a real fan of either of these teams I’d be dead from a coronary.

Today I thought a guy taking a selfie was taking a pic of me (it happens often when I’m with Penelope) so I asked if he was & he said “No, do you want me to?” I said “No, which is why I was asking.” He then said “I’m taking a selfie, if that’s okay with you.” I said “It sure is, you fkn asshole!”

I am very happy for my husband.
I memorized the really important ones and kept an address book for the rest. These days I only know two numbers, mine & B’s. I text with my mom & sistercousin daily but could only tell you their area codes. I don’t even know my dad’s area code.
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
