This is white supremacy. Many people ask why working-class people "vote against their interests." But if their interest is preserving white supremacy, they aren't voting against that. Lots & lots of white people will put up with a lot—as long as BIPOC have it worse.
This whole country wants bad things for others more than they want good things for themselves.
