I just wrote my first set of #morningpages. My hand is beyond sore. I hope to gain more stamina with regular practice. I started not because I feel completely blocked. I wanna level up. I'm writing a dissertation, a feature length screenplay, in post on a short, and pre- on another short.
And we said abolish ICE too. ICE is not inevitable, its existence is not settled —even as it fortifies the settler state. Historically speaking, that ain’t certain either.

I wonder which people said this about policing in general a few years ago... [I recall that there might even have been some sort of a movement focused on this] - I know that Austin already knows. EYE will never get over the bullshit though.
The more money, resources, and power you give to ICE, the more folks they're going to harm and kill. It's as simple as that.

Lmbo. I remember being told we were unreasonable after saying we want more money for good schools and housing instead of more money for cops. (And don’t tell me we didn’t say it that way, I did a lot and on national media too).

Oh and that the “slogan was bad.” Ok girl.

Here is the donor box account that is for Project Relief ME, a trusted local mutual aid project. The link also has more info about Pastor Lourenço who is legally seeking asylum like many Black immigrants in Maine.

Please share this post.
Please give if you have the means.

Not sure if it‘s different elsewhere…but city and counties pay where I from. And have so in the hundreds of millions.
Texas Universities are now like police departments who would prefer to pay out the inevitable lawsuits rather than stop breaking the law
Texas A&M University will not reinstate a lecturer who was fired after a video of her teaching about gender identity in a children’s literature class went viral, despite a faculty appeals panel unanimously concluding that her dismissal was not justified.

I didn’t know this man. But I went to high school with several Bulgarians in Chicago. Something about that makes it hit a certain way I can’t name. So so sad.

Tomorrow is the last day of this holiday toy drive for Chicago families impacted by ICE. 41 of the 60 kids who were registered have had a present purchased.

Organizers are hoping every child and family can receive a gift. Let's help them reach their goal!
