I doubt we'll ever return to 3 sets a year, but when we eventually leave UB tent pole sets behind because it's bad for business (long term, I get that it makes money in the short term) I hope we replace the cadence of releases with some 2-block sets. #magicLorwyn

So a lot of us woke up this morning to an email informing us that OMENS OF CHAOS (have you pre-ordered yet?) had been pushed from February 2026 to April 2026. People are understandably confused, not thrilled, and expressing both these things to me. So here's what I can say.

I'm doing my part, I want more MTG fiction out there and the best way to show that is with the act of commerce! I'm also very excited to read the book.
The single best thing you can do for Magic fiction right now, even if you don't read YA, don't like Arcavios, or personally hate me as a writer, is pre-ordering this book. That sends a message. A very clear one, that is unlikely to be ignored.
