Aarhusianernes vand udvindes fra områder, som i stor stil bliver sprøjtet med pesticider. Det viser en kortlægning, som Informations gravegruppe har lavet. Det kommunale vandselskab Aarhus Vand vil have sprøjtningen stoppet.

My daily surveys suggest British earwigs are declining drastically
Cool autumns and dry springs could help earwig populations recover.

Stunning visualisation of glacier retreat (Glacier Blanc, Ecrins massif) over 1984-2024 that goes hand in hand with 'greening' (vegetation moving upward) of the glacier forefield! 📈 🌱 🌿

This is crazy.

Storforshei, Norway has reached 30°C for 12 consecutive days.

To be clear, this is right on the edge of the Arctic circle. The extent & duration of this heatwave is nothing short of astonishing.

That’s how the biggest and the longest river in Poland looks like today - Vistula river. It has reached the lowest level in its history - 15cm and it practically turned into temporary river. It is not only drought due to climate change it is also lack of proper water policy and retention

Trawlers wrecked entire underwater communities, and now tell us they have always been this way, so why bother protecting the seabed at all?
Shifting baselines pushed intentionally to keep their destructive industry going.

This is so important! Dog owners, challenge vets when offered these unnecessary & deeply harmful treatments. I’ve had dogs all my life, & never had to use them. Ticks can be removed easily & safely, & dogs treated (& kept away from water) only IF they get fleas! @davegoulson.bsky.social
Our latest research shows spot-on flea treatments on dogs are released into water when dogs swim even 28 days after treatment - in contrast to the label which suggests dogs can safely swim 48 h after treatment.

Dogs pollute water with pesticides even weeks after flea treatment
When dogs given spot treatments for fleas go swimming, they release levels of pesticides dangerous to aquatic life for at least a month after the treatment

You may notice a brownish haze in the sky in some areas today. It's smoke that has been blown across the Atlantic from record-breaking Canadian wildfires. 200,000 hectares has burnt in Manitoba alone, three times the yearly average with the peak of the season yet to come.

Kitchen sponges like these are made of plastic. They have a short lifespan, & as they degrade they release microplastics that end up in the sea. They can't be recycled, so remain in landfill for 100s of years. Eco-friendly alternatives are available – see:
