I'm not a sports guy so I can't remember the years/cities of the Olympics. Except Lillehammer because of these fries.
McDonald's Tater Twists (1990-1991, 1994): McDonald's briefly tried their hand at seasoned curly fries in select markets, branded as "Tater Twists", before revisiting the concept three years later in 1994 as "Olympic Twist Fries" to promote the Winter Games in Lillehammer

As someone who has purposefully avoided participating in the gig economy as much as possible for the last decade, I am here to tell you there's another way to live!
Thinking about gig workers in DC right now. The situation has put some clarity towards my long-held feelings:

If I were aware of a business model which relies on putting its workers in precarious positions, I would not contribute to that business model's demand.

After spending a week back in Chicago and New Orleans, I am glad I'm not a drinker because I would absolutely feel like shit today. I still feel like shit because I haven't eaten a vegetable in 7 days and because I'm old, but those are manageable.

That New York Times didn't even design a cool website! It's just "name a movie off the top of your head and type it in" so I did that myself on Letterboxd.
