The Anno games are so alluring, so hypnotic. Don’t sleep on their soundtracks. They’re labors of love.
I’ve been doing some writing on the one coming out soon. The storytellers on this title are so good (not just me ☺️). I love going through the editor just reading their work.

Concept art showing the daily lives of Romans in Anno 117: Pax Romana is amazing, even showing statues being painted. But look at the graffiti they chose to show, it has to be a reference to the OG Pompeiian depiction of Rufus!

I found a farm near my new German home. There are vending machines there for eggs, ice cream, oil, vinegar, pasta, dried fruit, potatoes, and other oddities.

I know there's a lot going on, but the Secretary of Homeland Security declaring that federal troops are in California and Los Angeles to "liberate" the state and city from its duly-elected leaders really is a fourteen-alarm fire.

Getting stuck while we're writing is a feature, not a bug. It's the point of the exercise. It's what happens when we are trying to express something we have not expressed before. That friction forces us to make the tools we need to understand and express it. Getting stuck is how we make meaning.
