Journalistic integrity. David Cochrane taking responsibility and extending an apology for an interview with the Iranian Canadian Congress last week about the unrest in Iran that caused great offence, anger & distress. The ability to take ownership speaks to the character of the man. Impressive.

Morning selection of flower paintings: quite a jaunty selection of garden flowers from 10 years ago with some pears in a bowl. A few nasturtiums and michaelmas daisies. Same vase as yesterday. Sold but I don't remember to whom.

The dandelion's life cycle—bud (Maiden), full bloom (Mother), and seed ball (Crone)—mirrors Hecate's triple goddess aspect, representing growth, fruition, and wisdom.

100%. The yardstick of career attainment and money is sooo wrong in the measurement of success in this ‘thing called life’.

This isn’t new people. It has already been done - history has documented the facts. Call it what it is - Fascism. Don’t vanilla-ize it.

This is an intentional move to break the UN - a well established partnership of equals born out of the horrors of war and fascism. It is a king making move yet again.

Sooo true. Facts Matter.
🤣 Poilievre is having a hissy fit about the trade deal with Canada / China

But he had no problem when Harper made the FIPA agreement that helped China more than it helped Canada, this deal helps Canada

Poilievre is such a douche-canoe

Now that we’re all about “complying with the law” re Minnesota, does that extend to complying with the law re Epstein files?

Michael Chong had soooo much potential politically central but he drank the kool aid and folded to the low base of the CPC. If he is that concerned about Chinese cars and its tech; I have one word - TikToc. So stop cherry picking and be authentic.

Excellent voice and message
Nunavut’s premier John Main didn’t mince words responding to Trump's comments about a Greenland Invasion. That story tonight on APTN National News.

This is not a black mark against Nobel; it shows the current culture of currying favours, transactional relationships etc etc. The recipient is chosen based on documented robust criteria. You don’t have to always agree with the choice but understand it isn’t random. Don’t undermine Nobel; keep focus

Very limited and myopic perspective from ON Premier. It is time for some competition in the car industry to help revitalize a stagnant framework. It is time to look at Canada as a whole and support initiatives that support across our country. Plus there has to be a strategy to sell & maintain - 1/2

One more Cambridge May Week scene, quite a large painting combining materials. Quite an evocative hazy image like butterflies in the mist. This is one of the paintings sold at exhibitions at the Linda Blackstone Gallery a few years ago.

Every day brings a flood of new headlines competing for our attention, but let's not lose sight: less than 1% of Epstein files have been released by the DOJ. Kevin O'leary is wrong, this still matters.

Excellent move by this grieving family. This will not be a positive era documented in history. It will be another learning case study on civil rights, human rights, democracy and the rise of fascism. Not a good look or movement.
A week after Renée Good was fatally shot by an ICE officer near her Minneapolis home, her partner, parents and four siblings have hired an attorney who represented the family of George Floyd to file a claim against federal officials.
