Oh hey, Luli Boutique on Hope Street is having a ‘balmy 10 degrees out’ winter sale with up to 50% everything in the store.

Folks gotta make their rent despite the weather, so if you love richly colored clothing, check them out. They are next to Citizens Bank, across from Apsara and the vegan deli

The governor is holding a presser today to bolster his proposal to slash energy efficiency & clean energy.

Toray Plastics, speaking at the presser, ironically has received large investments from these programs to help lower their energy usage and stabilize bills:

Was glad to join Environmental Council of RI's legislative coffee! We heard from some of our state's leaders on the progress Rhode Island has made on key environmental issues, and the work still to be done.
Big gratitude to Speaker Shekarchi for the shout out as a credible voice to listen to!

Diversifying our energy sources is actually how we stabilize our energy rates -not expanding existing, antiquated system.

Regardless of if you care about climate change - cutting energy efficiency & doubling down on gas at the detriment of local businesses & local jobs doesn't make economic sense.
AnderBois argues that blame for rising utility bills rests with RIE's insistence on maintaining & upgrading its natural gas infrastructure instead of pivoting toward all renewables. (The law allows utilities to make a profit on infrastructure investments.)

This is a great bill - why limit what data we have access to when our constituents need us to solve real problems and make them safer?

You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse at the VA put his body between ICE & a neighbor ICE assaulted.

And for that, he was pepper sprayed, tackled, and shot 10 times. 10 times.

And the federal government casually gaslights us and tries to tell us not to believe what we can see with our own eyes.
