Making great progress on the RPG battle system over the last few weeks. I'll post a new devlog next week. This is the field map. Then it goes to a turn based final fantasy style turn based battle system. Still working on building out the turned based.

Can anyone help me here? 2d game with animation tree, blend space points for directional movement are at 1, -1. when traveling to it works way better if I send it values like 3000 instead of 1. I think it has something to do with my analogue controls. I solved it I just want to know why? #Godot

Happy Screenshot Saturday! This might be cheating a bit, I posted a video to youtube with me time-lapse drawing a level for my RPG. Right now I am working on revamping the weather/lighting system and map loading.

Does anyone else see links to x dot com and read it has x-com.. and then get really confused when it's not about UFO defense? Every time. #xcom

I thought it might be interesting for people to see how this cave map changed after taking some time to improve it. I'll have a new devlog for this game up next week.

Its probably a bad habit, but most of the textures in SOTS are hand painted with a mouse... At this point i think it adds to the whimsy :^]

The new version of #godot (4.4) is great so far! My game instantly felt a little bit smoother.

I am running into one problem am I understand why it had to break. but My fullscreen toggle is broken : DisplayServer.window_set_mode(DisplayServer.WINDOW_MODE_FULLSCREEN)

Anyone else run into this?

Does anyone else use the animation tree for their 2d #godot game? Do you like it?

I think it is powerful but sometimes I feel like it makes things harder to debug.

Did this ever happen to you? Your pretty sure you watched that movie.. but maybe you just saw the trailer?

Now you feel like you have to watch it again to figure out if you watched it the first time.

That's ok! I remember it was a good movie or trailer.

I have a love/hate relationship with animation. Probably just a few... hundred more frames to go.

The next RPG devlog will be about combat animations.

A big part of marketing for indie devs is word of mouth. That said, what's something that I could do (features, visuals, etc) that would entice you to *tell somebody else* about KOOK?

KOOK on Steam
A fast-paced, Quake-like retro FPS in a Victorian era steampunk setting with Lovecraftian monsters, distorted time and gravity, and crazy weapons.

At work I'm reviewing a lot of code today... tell me which is worse:

A. Javascript with no comments anywhere to be found. Large complex functions.

B. Python with 4 comments per line... sometimes outdated
