Other people in New Orleans: "WHOOOO! Let's go Saints! Beads! Drinks!"

Me in NOLA: "WHOOO! GHOSTS! TEQUILA! LOOK AT THIS FUCKIN' MAGNOLIA TREE BREAKING THE BONDS OF TYRANICAL CONCRETE!"

My husband in NOLA: "Babe, breathe, drink some water. LOOK AT THAT SICK ASS MAGNOLIA TREE!"

Got hustled by an artist in New Orleans, but he sold me by calling me a queen 24 hours before my birthday so...win/win.

I'm traveling and miss my cat, so I turn on Forensic Files and it involves a cat helping solve the murder. Is this cosmic synchronicity?

The reason I love my job is because my people walked in this morning asking if today was The Rapture and if we could have an End of the World party.

We have a bit of a natural experiment here. Compare the tone, quantity and duration of Charlie Kirk coverage with that of the two Dem lawmakers gunned down in their homes in Minnesota 6 months ago. May be revealing.

The MSNBC commentator saying that most political violence has historically come from the left just once again showed how we suffer from failing to learn history. Lynching, pogroms, race riots, the political violence that ended Reconstruction, and against the Civil Rights Movement. Come on.

Just saw a Rooms To Go commercial that opened with a very upbeat "beat the tariffs!" like thats so dumb. This is such a weird and stupid moment in time.

Spicy Easter lunch = success. I made my great-grandad's jambalaya, tons of food that tasted so good it almost hurt. We took turns doing small "shots" of hotsauce. We laughed, we cried, we coughed. The pollen index might be high, but my sinuses are clear. 10/10. Would recommend.

I'm still thinking about how China's response to the tariff nonsense is basically "if you're gonna keep acting like this, we won't stop you"

Preparing for Spicy Easter where we all bring spicy dishes for a potluck and try to not die. This is how I party in my 30s.

So much for us plebes that followed the rules!
This is the wildest story I have literally ever read. In any normal circumstances, a half-dozen senior officials would be forced to resign over this—starting with the National Security Advisor. And I doubt anyone will face any accountability at all.
In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

This is a massive scandal. There should be a serious price to pay.

AND THERE IS ZERO DOWNSIDE FOR EVEN THE MOST SCAREDY-CAT CONGRESSPERSON.
