BTW, new people, these fools are Fusilli (I know, I know, best puli name ever) and Celosa. They sometimes stop by, mainly to ask for food, but sometimes to accept adoration.

Did you know it's a norm here to use alt text? It helps people who can't see the photos very well, sometimes with humor.

Back when they wanted to put Reagan’s head on the thing, park employees explained that any addition would likely destroy the monument because of structural weakness on either side. I’m guessing the people telling them “no and here’s why” have all been fired so hey, it just might happen.

When we were watching Big Air last night, they talked about a Canadian Mark McMorris, who crashed and didn't make it to the competition due to injury.

NBC threw up a list of his injury history, which was similar to below. These guys are made different.

He's probably competing slopestyle.
Major Injury Highlights: 2026 (Feb): Suffered a heavy crash during big air training at the Milano Cortina Olympics, resulting in being stretchered off the course. 2017 (March): Suffered life-threatening injuries after hitting a tree in the backcountry, resulting in 17 broken bones, including a fractured jaw, left arm, pelvis, ribs, a ruptured spleen, and a collapsed lung. 2016 (Feb): Broke his right femur at the Air + Style event in Los Angeles. 2014 (Feb): Broke a rib during the Sochi Olympics. Despite these severe injuries, McMorris has consistently returned to competition, winning multiple X Games medals and Olympic bronze medals.

Yup. This is also why I get annoyed when people start suggesting "golden age" science fiction titles to people who are new the genre and are asking for suggestions. You want to turn a modern 15-year-old off science fiction forever, recommend stories that were old when her grandparents were her age.

My fake id involved a friend with a laminating machine, another friend with a Viriginia template, and a passport photo from Walgreens. It was so bad I only used it at a Mexican restaurant in Pomona which would have served me strawberry margaritas anyway. Everyone on campus knew how old I was.
