Cancelled my @DisneyPlus and @Hulu subscriptions today. Caving in to Trump was reprehensible!

This is a boot-licking casting couch audition.

Many such cases right now.

We will remember who they are.
In which a Yale prof calls for jettisoning humanities to make way for science-only universities.

“scientists… are being punished for the sins of [humanities scholars] because we all live under one roof. I cannot see a compelling reason for our continued cohabitation.”
Unyoke the Sciences From the Humanities
Arts and sciences typically cohabitate. Should they?

Holy shit!
Not a single international cargo ship at the Port of Seattle. The port is dead. The last ship from China will dock at a West coast port on the 29th, and the last Chinese ship will dock on the East coast around May 10th. After that, there will be no more shipments arriving from China. We’re screwed.

Heading off to Princeton University for the weekend to attend the group reunion of my first post-doc advisor. Working for Professor Wagner for those two years changed the trajectory of my entire life. He was one of the best "bosses" I've ever had and I'm honored to have the chance to tell him that.

Guys, JD Vance did NOT kill the Pope and it’s stupid and immature to imply he did. The Pope killed himself after meeting JD Vance.

When you have bad astigmatism, like I do, sometimes you can mistake letters in words. Thus you can imagine my distress when I just got an email from my insurance company with a title I read as:

"Your autopsy details have changed."

It's a lot less sinister when you replace the 's' with an 'a'!

As far as the news consumption goes, there's a point where being informed stops being useful and starts be detrimental. Take in what you can handle, and allow the rest to go on without you.

A heartfelt "FUCK YOU!" to Elon Musk, whose chosen candidate for the Wisconsin Supreme Court just went down in flames. When the MAGATs turn on you, as they inevitably will, I will pop some champagne to celebrate that everyone else finally will hold you in as much contempt as I do.

Been listening to my wife on the phone with her mother for the last 45 minutes as she tries to walk her through deleting a text message. I will be submitting her name for canonization later today. I've never been that patient with anybody in my entire life!

Scientists have just cured pancreatic cancer in some patients with personalized mRNA vaccines. Pancreatic cancer. And this Trump administration wants to throw it all away.

They’re throwing away a cure for cancer.

Oooooh! Spaceship go BOOM!

Clearly, they need to put super-genius-Elon on the next #Starship flight to troubleshoot in real time. Probably needs to fire a bunch of people at SpaceX. That always makes things work better!

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

Saed is a wonderful person just trying to get his 11 person family across the border.

food, winter clothing, and medicine are extremely expensive. They're SO close to their goal, if you're able to add 5 to 10 please consider helping them.

it all adds up, and I know they appreciate it.
