Towards Universal Chemosensory Testing: Needs, Barriers and Opportunities

Regular smell and taste testing could aid early detection of impairments that negatively impact health, safety, and quality of life, and could also reveal underlying disease. But how do we get there? This new whitepaper is out today:
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you…AI!
Nature suggests you use their "Manuscript Adviser" bot to get advice before submitting

UVA just sent out an alert about an active attacker with a gun. Central Grounds near Shannon library. Stay safe and away from that area if you can.

Just received from a colleague: looks like Penn is going to join the universities refusing the extortionary Trump "compact". I do not regret to inform you that we are going to win

@dieworkwear.bsky.social I’ve noticed men’s sport coats/suit coats are lately using two side vents instead of a single centered vent on the back. Is this a current fashion trend, a preference rooted in manufacturing advantages, or something else? Frankly, I prefer the look of the single vent. Thanks

The truly tough guys don’t have to tell anyone that they are tough. The craven cowards, on the other hand…
Stephen Miller: "All that bullshit is done, over, it's finished. The gangbangers you deal with- they think they're ruthless? They have no idea how ruthless we are. They think they're tough? They have no idea how tough we are. They think they're hardcore? We are so much more hardcore than they are"

Ponderosa pine smells like butterscotch.
Go ahead, sniff one the next time you're in the western US. Some say "vanilla", some say "oh no, my nose is covered in sap."
Let's talk about birds, butterscotch, forest fires, blue wood, & boring beetles.
But mostly this thread is about terpenes.

Not that facts will get in the way of conspiracy theories, but yet another clear demonstration (in this huge study) that childhood vaccines are NOT associated with autism, ADHD, or nearly 50 other diseases is good to see.
