Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's speech today is one of the most insightful, albeit sobering, political speeches in a long time. Carney tells it as it is: "If you're not at the table you'll be on the menu."

Look at that 🤩
What can you do with 380 million #Higgs bosons?

What is the fate of the universe? Why is there more matter than #antimatter? What lurks beyond the #StandardModel? Valentina Cairo & Steven Lowette explore the physics reach of the High-Luminosity LHC (#HiLumiLHC) in the new issue of the #CERNCourier.

The point of these posts by Trump is to ritualistically humiliate European leaders.

He wants to show how much he owns them. That they will accept whatever the US president does.

Complete this short survey and help my PhD student to discover how visual differences between languages impact our reading experience. We need the help of many readers of different languages to collect data.

Building a culture for success
The next five years will be critical for CERN. We will move from a period dominated by LHC operation to one of implementing the HL-LHC while at the same time progressing the FCC-ee as CERN’s next flag...

These so-called "patriotic" 🇬🇧newspapers who brought you Brexit were never really patriotic at all.

They are driven by a disdain for Britain's European neighbours, and a fawning obsession with America.

They do not really want 🇬🇧 to be sovereign. They're content being a 🇺🇸vassal.

Second day of enjoying physics history and links to the present. We already had as speakers the I from the GIM mechanism, the S from MSW, and now the P from the DGLAP equation. Speeches from 3 Nobel prize winners and other giants of the field. A marvellous anniversary indeed.

I'm going in mental overdrive already for the week ahead:
* we're hosting a VIP visit to CERN on Tuesday touring Flemish academic leaders and minister;
* exams back in Brussels on Thursday;
* celebrating 60y of Moriond in Paris on Friday/Saturday
Going to be amazing!
