Level 42 live in Oslo 2025-11-09. That was incredible! Would have been worth the price of the ticket for the bass guitar alone. I could have seen them back in the 80s when it would have been cool, but better late than never:) I’ve seen some *legendary* bass players but MK is just something else!

Kari Bremnes - live at Sentrum Scene, Oslo 2025-11-06. Fantastic voice and fantastic sound. I do like the up-tempo stuff so much better than the down-tempo stuff - and I miss the darkness and drama of how «Mitt hjerte hamrer og hamrer» used to sound. But always worth hearing!

This album getting loads of attention right now both with the film and new special edition. NOAA’s National Weather Service holds the federal responsibility for tsunami warnings, and has historically been a primary supporter of seismic data collection in Alaska
NOAA cancels longstanding funding for seismic data collection crucial to tsunami warning systems
The Alaska Earthquake Center has long provided NOAA with seismic data for tsunami monitoring and warning purposes. That work will wind down in November, after the federal agency said it can no longer fund the contract.

Nydalen on the last day of October🍁 I missed some amazing Northern Lights in Oslo last night but I have to sleep dammit (the best photos I’ve seen were around 3 a.m.) and I also missed the best of this morning’s sunrise under Oslo. Have a good Friday!

Today in 1958, at RAF Sculthorpe, about 3 miles west of Fakenham, England, USAF atomic bomb technician Master Sergeant Leander Cunningham, 41, suffered a mental breakdown, locked himself in the bomb maintenance building, and threatened to detonate a Mark-5 bomb by shooting it with his .45 pistol.
