She’s got to think she’s going to get clipped.
Trump won't grant her clemency bc he doesn't want her to testify/answer questions that would connect him to Epstein

"GM's lawyer said she would be willing to cooperate with the panel's probe if President Trump grants her clemency and would testify that the president is "innocent of any wrongdoing"
This is the biggest cover-up in modern history.

The Justice Department is protecting Trump, not the victims of Epstein and his cabal of pedophiles. Meanwhile, the UK is launching criminal investigations!

I’m giving a talk on ‘The Ecology of Eely’ - the interlocking artistic, scientific, public and other contexts that informed and shaped the poem’s development - at the ‘Poetry’s Environments’ conference at the University of Leeds in June.
Somewhere in Tethys’ salty darkness,
in spurts of milt and billowing roe, eels
are birthing their posterity, a spore-storm of eggs
in uncountable centillions, each buoyed
on its micron of oil.

Born in the Garden, died in the Flames,
Cain’s spree-kill, carbon-offset Endtime.
Ninety million years of life, two hundred years of death,
coming down every year to a single fear:
will this be the spring that none return?

Daybreak in the wreck of Dogger. Gulls drifting
over the slowly rising sea. Seals hauled out
on sandbanks, bleached ribs of stranded whales.
Dunlin and knot, swarming the mudflats,
armies of silt-spearing godwit and whaup.

It was bastards
Who raised these chain-link fences along the canalised,
sheer-walled beck? Who nailed up the KEEP OUT signs,
tore out the streamside trees? Who sunk the Pump
and raised the thousand-acre massif of ripped-out
Permian spoil?

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

In the past month 3 transport routes have collapsed - but they aren't roads so don't make national news. All 3 have the same root causes, climate change, and Tory austerity passing responsibility for critical infrastructure on to charities and councils. This will happen more, and people will be hurt

Cracking book
Worth snapping up if there’s only a few left: would also make a good present for anyone who likes walking/the outdoors (or just really good poetry).
'It is the best anthology of new work that I’ve read in years; anyone with an interest in contemporary British poetry should read it.' - Billy Mills

Last few copies of 'The Footing': our first (and, to date, only) anthology (unlikely to be reprinted)
