Precinct organizers are the lifeblood of the Democratic party & powerful agents for grassroots change. I'm proud of our Democratic district leadership in HD-16 - our district officers & all the precinct officials who organize their precincts & serve on the central committee. On to victory in 2026!

What a privilege to participate in this policy discussion event at Manitou Springs High School, hosted by the Colorado College Sunrise chapter! It was reminiscent of my time chairing the Colorado Youth Advisory Council, when I got to see first hand how much our youth have to offer.

Great town hall event at Chinook Center today with @daveyseligman.bsky.social for CO Attorney General & Charles Johnson for COS D-11

The economy is stacked against us & corporate lawlessness is escalating rapidly. We need an AG who knows what it takes to put the law on the side of ordinary people.
October 25, 2025 at 8:29 PM

It's the last day of a reporting period & there's a big fight ahead. Billionaires spent over $2m in dark money to oppose me in 2024, and they’ll do it again bc there’s nothing they hate more than a working class leader.

Donate to fuel my people-powered campaign!

Colorado Republicans do this a lot too. We call it "Lodge you 'no,' but take the dough."

No matter how much Trump waves his tiny, splotchy little fist at Colorado, we like how we vote, we were always the best choice for basing Space Command, & Republicans have no one to blame by themselves for making this petty tyrant president.

Today's announcement was inevitable. GOP owns it.

Thank you EPC Progressive Veterans for having me around for your lunch this afternoon! We had some heavy topics to cover, from service cuts at the VA to how military personnel can defend themselves against unlawful orders.

Appreciate you all for your continued service to our community & our country

The temper tantrums that CO House Republicans are throwing today are almost a little funny.

Their dear leader got 43% of the vote in this state. The same voters have chosen a Dem trifecta with strong majorities in both chambers.

The legislature passed a balanced budget this year, same as any other year. It's the OBBB that blew a hole in it (this is a matter of our state's particular type of conformity to federal tax code, not a reduction in Federally sourced funding).

Buckle up: this is going to hurt for a lot of people.

This is what Timothy Snyder meant by "do not obey in advance."

He actually can't force everyone to do everything that he wants, every time. Even if we don't "win" with every act of resistance or refusal, we have to keep pushing.
need people to understand that accepting or conceding that he has the authority to do these things is tantamount to giving him the authority, and so your preemptive dooming is actively counterproductive

They haven't mentioned me by name yet, but rest assured: I've always been in right wing extremists' crosshairs. Dark money groups poured millions of $$ into HD-16 last year & they still only took it by 3 adjudicated votes.

Real life humans can donate at StephanieVigil.com to take it back next year!

Crime in Washington D.C. is down.

Trump and his goons swooping in to take over the city IS the crime wave.

Watching MAGA suddenly realize that their leader blatantly lies about things that are embarrassingly easy to fact check is really something.

The 14th Amendment was ratified today in 1868—guaranteeing equal protection under the law.

157 years later, Trump’s trying to erase it like it was a typo.

No birthright citizenship. No due process. Just Trump doing what he does best—breaking the law.

Mr Speaker, you actually are not helpless - you are handsomely paid, with tax dollars, to act. Not to pray. Shame on you.

This is why we're supposed to keep church and state separate.
Mike Johnson on Texas floods: "In a moment like this, we feel just as helpless as everyone else does ... all we know to do at this moment is pray."

I know we're losing our ability to be shocked anymore, but - this made my stomach drop.

Let's call it what it is: calling people "rats" & removing them en masse is Nazi level stuff. This is what Nazis did. If you think Nazis were bad, you have to agree this is bad. It's not that complicated.
“[These] inner-city rats, they live off the federal government. And that’s one reason we’re $37 trillion in debt. And it’s time we find these rats and we send them back home, that are living off the American taxpayers, that are working very hard every week to pay taxes.” www.al.com/politics/202...
Tuberville says ‘inner city rats’ live off the American taxpayers: Trump should send them ‘back home’

The US Constitution is crystal clear: if you're born here, you're a citizen.

Eroding this right paves the way to have millions of stateless individuals born on US soil - people born into a world in which they have no legal right to exist.

There is no rationale for this that isn't cruel & racist.

Beautiful morning at the NAACP Juneteenth Prayer Breakfast! The observation of Juneteenth reminds us that freedom on paper is not the same as freedom in practice. We have to commit to the work for the long haul, especially when it's difficult & uncomfortable.

Always nice to see these great ladies!

Karman Line annexation defeated in a landslide!

I see this as a death knell for low-density sprawl. I'm sure some number of these votes are just anti-growth, and we'll continue to negotiate with those folks.

But it is a decisive rejection of endless expansion & that's very exciting!

Some of us took it seriously when he said he would turn US troops against civilians to serve his agenda. It's true that this is eerily familiar to those who have already been denied the American promise. But it remains the case that this is deeply un-American. Basic civil rights are not conditional

It's not our undocumented neighbors throwing flash grenades into crowds and terrorizing families. It's the government.

There's a reason why the right wing has fear-mongered about "big government" all these years; they were the threat all along.
