The Senate only cleared the first step to end the shutdown—nothing’s over yet. The bill still has to pass the full Senate, the House, and get signed by the President. A single procedural delay could stall everything. So, I am still waiting to get back to work.

I’m no fan of MTG, and I live in Georgia and voted for the two Democrats who just won the PSC seats this week, but I have to admit she’s been making a lot of sense lately—definitely not her usual off-the-wall rhetoric.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "It's absolutely the worst political move to have the House in recess & for us to not be here working...there's a lot of disenfranchised 2024 voters & that was obvious in Tuesday's election. I'm from Georgia & we lost 2 statewide Public Commission seats & lost them heavily."

It hit me after reading the article — maybe the stalemate isn’t just politics. If Senators don’t trust Trump to honor any deal they vote on, how can progress happen? For someone who calls himself the “king of negotiation,” refusing to actually negotiate says it all.

Reforms? He means undoing EPA rules that protect us? Removing Medicaid from millions? Upping our taxes? And so much more that we have not been hit with yet...
