The Eyre Affair is excellent! There’s a new (final?) book in the series next year I think, which I’m looking forward to. I enjoyed Red Side Story (sequel to Shades of Grey) which you may have read from the same author too.

Good news: more adults are still taking part in learning than pre-pandemic. Bad news: it’s fallen & unequal. Plus employer & govt cuts mean fewer formal opportunities.
Matters because learning helps careers, health & life. #getthenationlearning

Another way to visualise this shows the proportion of annual cohorts (simple average) still in the searching for work group a period of time later. You can see faster exit rates for post-pandemic cohorts. Noting people can move to other out of work groups, not just into work (will come to that).
