It’s impossible to ignore that “ROGD” is just a very technical way of saying “the internet (and phones) are transing your kids!” Particularly when a notable minority of those pushing these laws admit that stopping kids from being trans is a goal.
The average person may be ignorant or uncaring but anyone paying the barest attention KNOWS that queer people in particular rely on each other and on informal networks to tell each other our stories, support each other, advise each other. It's WHY many parents are so fucking militant about phones.

the entirety of the british press talked themselves into believing this woman is trans based almost entirely on JK Rowling's judgement of the athlete's appearance.
Nothing illustrates the arseholery of the IOC and the British Press more than the use of the image of a not-Trans woman to illustrate a story about trans women being banned (because there are no current trans women competing at this level)

The BBC published an article falsely accusing trans women of being rapists. According to 40 members of a hate group & an accused rapist. It's still up on the website, despite thousands of complaints.
If that's what the BBC's mythical pro trans panel deemed acceptable, I'd hate to see what wasn't.

Yup. Realistically, there haven't actually been any additional trans rights of note since 2004. What people mean is "seeing more trans people in public and on TV and being expected to be respectful to/about them".
