75 yrs ago today, a B-50 bomber ferrying a Mark-4 atomic bomb (minus its plutonium pit or capsule) from Canadian Forces Base Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, to Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona, developed engine trouble and jettisoned the bomb over the St. Lawrence River near Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec.

I first started mapping GPS jamming in case it was an early warning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I hope it's not a sign of some mad Trumpian attack on Venezuela.
Recent GPS interference near Venezuela and Trinidad, per GPSJAM, as noticed by a Bellingcat workshop participant. I believe this is a recent development for the area. CC @lemonodor.bsky.social

On October 28th, when the Poseidon test was conducted according to Putin, there were 6 unidentified ships off the eastern coast of Novaya Zemlya, Kara Sea.
No NOTAM, no PRIP, but well off the path for any civilian traffic.

Don’t know who needs to hear this, but Russian Navy KILO class submarines transiting to/from Mediterranean on the surface are routine. NATO of course watches them closely, as in this photo.

Don’t know who needs to hear this, but Russian Navy KILO class submarines transiting to/from Mediterranean on the surface are routine. NATO of course watches them closely, as in this photo.
