True story: this kid didn't really bully ME, but he was definitely a bully, like in general. Anyway, he befriended me just so I would beat Metal Gear Solid 3 for him.

This is so real, one of my middle school bullies left me alone after a LONG phone call where I helped him through the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time
I once bonded with one of my middle school bullies after finding out he was a secret Pokemon fan. He privately approached me because he saw I had an extra Clefairy card (his favorite) and I traded it to him. We were permanently chill after that. Fairy Pokemon have been good to me.
