Anyone else act like a jerk today? I did. I misunderstood something my son said and thought he was disrespecting me. I became very hurt and told him he shouldn’t talk to me that way. We apologized to each other, but it still feels rough.

So here’s how I see things in broad strokes. There are kind of three divergent roads from here.
1) Our institutions hold, more or less. We limp forward and make it to the midterms and beyond. Elections happen and are free enough and fair enough that we can reverse things.

It’s hard for me to know what to say when things are happening so fast, but when someone decides to change names of places and remove letters representing specific groups; that is bigotry.
