there are breads that i enjoy making myself — any quickbread, sourdough boules and batards, flatbreads, biscuits etc. — but you’ll never catch me making a baguette or croissant at home. i live a short bike ride from three boulangeries!
a big thing i learned about myself during covid is that i just want to buy a goddamned baguette from the store or the bakery, i literally never want to make the damned thing myself

I said the other day that I had been doing #photoaday for an entire year. I've taken a break for a bit. I might pick it up again because it is a lot of fun and it forces me to pay more attention to my surroundings as I walk around.

The #photoaday subject today is Interesting Door Knob. Let me tell you, people don't have interesting doorknobs anymore. The thing I found interesting about this one is this. They needed 14 buttons; they used 10 digits, but why pick x, y, c and * as the other 4? My guess is the c stands for clear.
