Today we honor Vivien Thomas, an African American who worked as a lab assistant because he couldn't afford medical school. He helped develop a life-saving surgical procedure for babies with a congenital heart defects. In 1976 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

It's absolutely effing mind boggling that anyone could complain about casting Lupita Nyong'o as the most beautiful woman in the world. That she is a stunning human being in all respects is of the few objective truths we have.
It's about hierarchy. "Beauty" is subjective, the idea of a black woman portraying the most beautiful woman in the world offends them because white people are supposed to be the most beautiful and it is therefore offensive, it's so straightforwardly racist bsky.app/profile/radl...
The woke scolds are trying to make this about racism. But Musk is right. It's about historical and scientific integrity. When the God of Thunder disguises himself as a swan to seduce and fuck a queen and the resulting baby hatches from an egg, *of course* the baby will be white. It's just science.
