It genuinely boggles my mind that people are somehow convinced that GW2 is going into “maintenance mode” any time soon—and that this seems to be a pretty common assumption among non-players.

Seriously, where does this idea even come from?

this is interesting to me...i get the automation of stuff e.g the return events for when gw2 goes into maintence in a couple of years for gw3 but improving graphics this late into the game? interesting.

I think my next big goal in #GuildWars2 is gonna be getting all the Gen3 legendary weapons. I put together a nice little table of everything I need to get for that.

That is, uh, a really big gold number at the bottom. Got my work cut out for me.
A Google Sheets table listing various GW2 materials needed to craft gen3 legendary weapons. Included are how many of each I need, how expensive each material is, and how much gold I'd need to just buy all of them outright.

I've never understood takes like these that things are "ruined" because other people enjoy them in a different way than you. Adults optimizing Pokemon for competitive/nuzlockes/etc doesn't take anything away from kids.

Think I'm finished up with Silksong for the moment. I got 100%, true ending, and now this morning I finally finished up the Hunter's Journal. As for the other achievements I have left... one is an ending that'd require a whole second playthrough, which I think I'll wait a bit to do. The others...

The door itself is flying off into the room with the handle and hinges falling off. Panel 2: A large muscular figure with a head that looks like a Minecraft dirt block bends into the doorway, wrapping the fingers of its right hand around the frame and moving its left shoulder in first. It says "ALRIGHT, TIME FOR THE MONTH-LONG MINECRAFT ADDICTION YOU GET EVERY 4 YEARS" Panel 3: We look from behind the figure's shoulder as we see that Shen is being held hostage by Hornet from Hollow Knight: Silksong. She is standing behind him, with her needle to his throat, as he looks at the Minecraft dirt block guy in horror. Panel 4: The Minecraft dirt block guy is outside again, on the grass next to the cement path leading up to the door, now leaning down with his left hand on his knee and his right hand closing the door gently with a "click". He seemingly put it back into place, despite it still being very broken. He says "some fights are beyond me."

A snippet from the new chapter. It reads as follows: Much as it pains me to say, it was not uncommon for mortalkind to war against each other throughout the Holy Wars. Many groups and nations were desperate for resources, and Gravalt was a frequent victim of such attacks due to its abundance of valuable resources. Its people are hardy, and it benefited from an army that naturally resupplied itself as Fae were born from the nearby Ley, but it likely would not remain standing as it is today without the steadfast support of the United Mortals. Fighting the Holy Wars naturally required a large number of resources. Not just metal with which to forge weapons and armor, but magically-charged minerals used in artificing and the creation of Relics. Gravalt has both in great quantities, so it was a key member of the United Mortals. Due to its importance to the Holy Wars, Gravalt’s capital, Erenley, is one of the largest and most fortified cities in the world. Even at the nation’s peak, that single city was home to over four-fifths of Gravalt’s population. To my knowledge, Erenley has continued to prosper, but the rest of Gravalt has seen a significant downturn following the end of the Holy Wars.

My guess is Engi Conduit and Rev Amalgam.

Conduit makes sense with the Chinese poem, and it just sounds very techy. Could imagine an electricty-based spec with like tesla coils or something.

Amalgam is a tough one. Not sure if it helps or hurts Lady Mosyn theory.

A snippet from the new chapter. It reads as follows: Shortly into my day of study, a tragedy struck. A recently-embarked hunting band returned early, reporting that a hydra was moving near the city. They are large, powerful, and bloodthirsty monsters, and could wreak much havoc if one managed to reach the city. It was decided that several hunting parties would embark together to fell the beast before it could come closer. Seeing this as a valuable research opportunity, I volunteered my assistance to this missions. A few clearly had mixed feelings on bringing an outsider, but most of the hunters seemed delighted or relieved to have a Dryad in their company. Many are men and women who fought in the Holy Wars and know exactly how effective my kind can be in environments like these. I am writing this as the hunters prepare to embark. I shall report further at nightfall.
