It works but...
Holy cow, I would not want to be relying on that as my last resort!
What works against fiber-optic FPVs.

Ukrainian soldiers rely on a Safari shotgun plus a Ptashka net launcher.
If buckshot fails, a 4×4 m net fired up to 30 m catches the drone.

Battlefield reality over theory.

I saw someone on my timeline shaming someone else for posting about college football in a time like this.

Folks, if we're going to survive a time like this, we're going to need to avoid burning out from an attitude of 24/7 vigilance and constant outrage.

Let people find joy where they can, please.

1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal but
2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but
3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So
4. Now the LLM code points to malware.
LLMs hallucinating nonexistent software packages with plausible names leads to a new malware vulnerability: "slopsquatting."
LLMs can't stop making up software dependencies and sabotaging everything
: Hallucinated package names fuel 'slopsquatting'

A little while ago, my parents' cat Bridget went missing. As the weeks dragged on, they became extremely worried. My dad devised a way to distract himself: he began to paint Bridget's adventures, imagining her travelling through time and popping up in some of art and music's most iconic scenes.

Aslan is Jesus' fursona and I stand on that
aslan is not an allegory for jesus. the narnia books could not be clearer. jesus is a shape-shifter and in narnia, he has turned into a talking lion, animorphs-style. what are you not getting about this.

@tkingfisher.bsky.social Just finished Nettle & Bone. I’ve been intellectually aware of how awful patrilineal succession requiring a male heir must have been for women caught up in that system but this was the first time I have viscerally felt the horror of it. Reminded me of Pratchett. Excellent.

You should always be kind and understanding to grocery staff. But especially more so today. Last minute pre-holiday rush is insane. If you think you’re stressed imagine how they’re feeling. Be patient. Be understanding. Most of all, don’t be a dick.

Christ this is embarrassing. People have been predicting the "end of marriage" nonstop since the 1700s.
