The people of Maryland want action, not words. Maybe start by challenging on environmental grounds and stall the building process for years.

Thank you for writing this & for going on @lawrenceodonnell.bsky.social to share your knowledge.

If Thurgood Marshall said "No one is safe" in 1973 re the violent, racist culture & broad scope of Border Patrol, it is both pathetic & outrageous that Border Patrol wasn't reined in long before now.
I wrote about the long history of Border Patrol racism and violence for the New York Times www.nytimes.com/2026/01/29/o...

Read and learn, @slotkin.senate.gov, @democrats.senate.gov

There it is on page 535 of H.R. 1.

ICE is already funded through September 30, 2029.

Vote NO on funding DHS. That's what millions of angry Americans want the Senate to do. Vote NO on funding DHS.

Election partners?

FBI Election Executive? She gonna be another G. Gordon Liddy?
I hope lawyers, secretaries of state, and state attorneys general are preparing for what’s coming.

The manufacturing job trend definitely is not good.

The "boom" appears to be the highly destructive kind.

Since Harvard et al seem to have cranked out more than their fair share of lawyers-gone-bad, maybe let's invest in community-college law schools that students can afford and crank out some really honorable, kick-ass lawyers.

Actually, the problem is that the corrupt GOP holds too many seats in Congress. If Dems had a simple majority of seats in House PLUS 67 seats in the Senate, they could impeach in the House, convict in the Senate, and remove Trump from office.
Correction: It would lead to impeachment in a democracy, or in any country with a socially-sophisticated population. America has neither.

Hey, Josh, you know Netflix has parental controls, right?
February 6, 2026 at 12:01 AM
Well, to be fair, there are more Democrat, Independent and no-party-preference voters combined than Republican voters. So when Dems and Inds don't unite to strategically shut out Republican candidates from power, they kind of are more deserving of criticism.
It's weird that so many of the same people who think "You criticize Democrats more than Republicans. Clearly you support Republicans," is an intelligent argument like to blame non-voters and 3rd party voters more often than Trump voters.

The institution still is vital, just not under current ownership or management.
When the Post announced it was not going to endorse a candidate prior to the election, I argued with you all not to cancel your subscriptions in protest... I said the institution was vital, the news side would continue to do great work, and was worthy of your support.

Actually, I'd feel a lot better if people would focus right now on Trump's efforts to obstruct voting and steal the 2026 and 2028 elections. Unless we safeguard elections, we'll never see accountability for the Epstein horrors.
After latest release country should move on to Epstein trials.

Republicans, anticipating a tough fight in November, are working hard to obstruct voting and steal the election.

Civil rights really should be a top issue right now.
Republicans, Democrats, and Independents all rank inflation and prices as their top issue

Given Trump's inability to bring prices down, or sufficiently slow inflation, Republicans are in for a tough fight in November

I triple dog dare Washington Post employees to find a way to resurrect the Post as an employee-owned business dedicated to excellence in journalism.

If you build it, people will subscribe.

That still leaves four Republican seats.

California voters, you'd be smart to flip those too. Take the time to vote. No excuses.

Fun fact: ICE has a two-page resume limit for job applicants.

Interesting ruse, since more than 3.5 million U.S. citizens living in U.S. territories cannot even vote in the U.S. presidential election.
February 5, 2026 at 5:54 PM
ICE stands for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

ICE was created by merging the U.S. Customs Service with the Immigration and Naturalization Service.

As created, ICE has no business at voting sites.
Why would they need ICE agents at voting sites in November? Other than to spread fear and intimidation. 😑 So dumb.

I definitely want to know what the Clintons told the Oversight Committee under oath and why nothing came of that information.

Cameras on.
I’m betting Comer will suddenly lose interest in this hearing.

Echoes of Cosplay Congress.
Those same cowboys and ranchers and militia men are nearly all silent on the “tyranny” they just stood up against a decade ago. Some of those same men are even celebrating ICE.

The men who stood up for cows during the Bundy uprising won’t stand up for humans.

Sure, we got through wars, but a lot of people died in the process.

All Americans had to do in 2024 was vote--and vote strategically/wisely--to seat honorable, pro-Constitution people instead of Nazi wannabes in the White House and Congress who have filled govt agencies and courts with their goons.
