Speech And Debate

Words matter. Facts matter. Critical thinking matters.
The Democratic Party is a big tent. Voters are a diverse bunch, electing a diverse range of candidates. The Democratic Party is the SUM of those who run AND those who vote.

Allergic how? The Democratic Party and the candidates elected are the sum of its diverse voters. Some electeds are bold, others not so much.

At this point, if enough Democrats of any stripe don't win in November to flip control of the House and/or Senate, we'll be stuck with the regime for decades.

The people of Maryland want action, not words. Maybe start by challenging on environmental grounds and stall the building process for years.

Read and learn, @slotkin.senate.gov, @democrats.senate.gov

There it is on page 535 of H.R. 1.

ICE is already funded through September 30, 2029.

Vote NO on funding DHS. That's what millions of angry Americans want the Senate to do. Vote NO on funding DHS.

The manufacturing job trend definitely is not good.

The "boom" appears to be the highly destructive kind.

Faith doesn't mean the same thing to everyone.
February 6, 2026 at 12:30 AM
Hey, Josh, you know Netflix has parental controls, right?
February 6, 2026 at 12:01 AM
Fun fact: ICE has a two-page resume limit for job applicants.
February 5, 2026 at 5:55 PM
Interesting ruse, since more than 3.5 million U.S. citizens living in U.S. territories cannot even vote in the U.S. presidential election.
February 5, 2026 at 5:54 PM
But Trump envisions ICE as his personal goon force. Thanks to GOP support in Congress AND the 2024 voters/nonvoters who enabled GOP control of Congress, ICE is now the highest-funded U.S. law enforcement agency. One Big Beautiful Bill--which ZERO Dems in Congress voted for--funds ICE for four years.

You ran as a Democrat for Arkansas House of Representatives District 85 in 2024. Surely you know that Republicans hold a whopping supermajority in both the Arkansas State House and State Senate. It's really Arkansas voters who continually refuse to meet the moment by repeatedly voting for GOP goons.

Sure, we got through wars, but a lot of people died in the process.

All Americans had to do in 2024 was vote--and vote strategically/wisely--to seat honorable, pro-Constitution people instead of Nazi wannabes in the White House and Congress who have filled govt agencies and courts with their goons.

Well, unfavorability and reality have meant nothing anyway.

I got a lot of shit for years trying to unite voters to fend off Trump 2.0, lest we be stuck with him and others like him for decades.
February 5, 2026 at 12:41 AM
Trump voters and deportation supporters are a melting pot of white, black, hispanic, asian.
February 4, 2026 at 8:41 PM
Well there was an intelligence briefing followed by a Summer Soiree on June 4. Lunch with German Chancellor and roundtable with Fraternal Order of Police on June 5, trip to Bedminster on June 6.
February 4, 2026 at 7:17 PM
Seems like a lot of angry Republicans voters might be calling to yell at their elected reps these days. The American voter spectrum is pretty broad.
February 4, 2026 at 6:28 PM
Actually, it's more about courting a wide range of voters, from Dems to Inds to no-party preference.
February 4, 2026 at 6:24 PM
There is no average Dem. There's a broad spectrum.
February 4, 2026 at 6:22 PM
And let's not forget the $billions for joyrides to cross the Karman line.
February 4, 2026 at 6:17 PM
Fun facts:

Louisiana's electoral system for local, state and federal offices differs from those employed in the other 49 states. If one candidate wins simple majority of votes in the primary, that candidate wins the whole race.

Only Republicans were on Louisiana's D-4 primary ballot in 2024.

Once, someone else's holiday photo cards were mixed in with my order. I used info in their card text to search for contact info, was able to email them and mailed their cards to them.
