Ah, Captain Archibald Maule Ramsay MP, BBC critic and (checks notes) a pro-Nazi who the wartime Churchill coalition interned.
February 1937 Tory campaign against BBC "bias". To be fair, if Captain Maule Ramsay was leading the charge, "left-wing" probably covered everything up to and including Mussolini...

This is a very powerful and first hand analysis of the BBCs position. Worth a read -t
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

Trump and his cronies have the BBC in their sights. Leaders can’t stay silent while one of our great institutions is attacked.
We must defend its independence, end political appointments, and remove Robbie Gibb from the Board.

The headline to this one is - Daily Mail owner seeks to dodge tax. It’s not really a shocking story, it’s not like we would expect anything better.

BBC Director General Tim Davie and news CEO Deborah Turness have both quit. Getting rid of a former Tory candidate and the woman who wanted to change output to gain the trust of Reform voters should definitely sort out any left wing bias.

I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job.
To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.

OK no more editing of Trump. Broadcast every stumble, every nonsensical ramble and brain fart. No more tidying him up or explaining him. Instead of commentary, just replace every reporter with this GIF every time he does anything:

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.
Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."
Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.
