The first recompile release of the #N64 #game "Space Station Silicon Valley" is here! It's currently playable, but expect graphical glitches during cutscenes and menus. These will be fixed soon, along with widescreen support coming.

SSSV fans rejoice!

(We really should come up with a name for ourselves)

Good on Analog for continuing to address issues!

I'm probably still not gonna bite since the Retrotink does the job for me. I'm also an old man and like my janky old machines. But this is an absolute win!

Hey SSSV fans! (We should really come up with a name for ourselves)

I recently went on a trip and a game store had this beauty for $5 😱

The cyber-animal gods are surely smiling upon me.

Like this post to receive a blessing

There was a cartridge revision that fixed the jumper pak issue.

Also if your save file is past the opening scene already, you will not experience any issues ♥️
Space Station Silicon Valley requires the default N64 ram jumper pack thing and not the later one used for Donkey Kong 64... except for my copy???

I wonder if it depends on which region or even store you got it from

(My first non-follower like 😱)

Space Station Silicon Valley is not something I've seen copied - except *maybe* Super Mario Odyssey - in how you commandeer multiple different types of characters to reach your goals. Very unique and interesting, I'd like to see this revisited with better performance.

Space station silicon valley. The memories I have of this game are amazing. I haven't played it since childhood

Lots of SSSV mentions here 🤣
"games used to release without any game breaking glitches" is such a lie because like every nintendo game had japanese version exclusive glitches all the time

also super paper mario could just randomly crash for no reason, no one ever talks about that.

Not to mention Space Station Silicon Valley is one of (if not the) only game on the N64 that suffers a performance DOWNGRADE with the Expansion Pak (and making it a necessity to keep the original Jumper Pak on hand).

N64 week 2 continues! I'm gonna be wrapping up Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (probably...?) and maybe doing some achievement hunting if there's time!

post a game you remember playing nobody else remembers

an obsession for a certain stretch of childhood: a kinda busted sci-fi adventure-puzzler where you play a little chip that needs to jump into and control robot animals with different skillsets in order to traverse various platforming scenarios

Can anyone verify whether the expansion pak glitch is still present on the Analogue 3D?

I've heard rumors.

And I'm pissed.

Anyone who's actually attempted 100%-ing this game knows that this is far from the most frustrating thing about it 😆
you can never get 100% completion on Space Station Silicon Valley for the N64 on the original hardware. the developers made the hitbox for one of the trophies non-existent. you can see it. can't touch it. doesn't matter what you do. game can't be fully completed. yea
