As part of the third year of Second Wind, we're excited to announce that in April 2026 we will be running our first ever Indie Showcase!

Indie games have been a huge part of our story, and we can't wait to run our first big showcase.

More details to come before the end of the year.

I uh... I guess that completionist tendency kicked in harder than I expected. Most of it was just using the auto-play character while I worked on chores around the house, then by the time I realized most achievements were done I just locked in for a couple of hours to clean up.

(now uninstalled)

Assuming this AI crap won’t go away completely (much as I wish it would) I feel like we need some kind of mandatory “nutrition label” disclosing how and how much it was used in the development process.

It’ll never happen, but let a man dream…

The auto-playing character in BALL x PIT is kind of hilariously bad at actually playing the game. Not picking up the exp. gems, standing on stage hazards, not dodging attacks…

I’m pretty sure I can tell how it was programmed to act/react even if I couldn’t make it myself.

Sounded fun and I can't say I'm surprised at the results. My people skills really are not too good, but at least I usually know when to shut up and put on a good customer service facade.

We are almost exact opposites with music though. 😂

Game 17 of 2025 - BALL x PIT

It was decent. I thought from the demo during a recent Steam Next Fest that it would grab me a lot harder than it ultimately did. I'm not really feeling that completionist urge.

Kudos for wringing so many unique playstyles out of a single idea though.

Valve dropping some hardware bombs today has me feeling like this.

A full SteamOS release would have been the cherry on top, but I’m certainly not complaining with what we got!

I'm pretty sure I'm at the end of part 2 of Yakuza 4; this game is genuinely impressive for what they seemed to be going for. Still has some rough edges, but it feels like Ryu Ga Gotoku was really trying to push themselves and it is a marked improvement over 3.

Such a great series.

A Japan-focused presentation would be the perfect time for Dragon Quest 12 to finally make its reappearance.

I’m just saying.

(🤡 makeup on standby.)
PlayStation has announced that a State of Play Japan presentation focused on games developed in Japan and across Asia will take place tomorrow. Voice actor Yuki Kaji will host it. gameinformer.com/state-of-pla...

(Playing Yakuza 4)

Voice actor - "Hai (はい)"

Subtitle - "No"

Me - "Yeah, that makes sense."

I haven't practiced my Japanese nearly as much as I would like, especially considering my usual online handle, but that tiny little interaction was weirdly gratifying to still understand it wasn't literal.

I haven't and won't watch KPop Demon Hunters (don't @ me) but I can still appreciate the technical vocal mastery they put into this song. EJAE (I think? If I got the breakdown right of who is who...) hits those high notes in a rare way that triggers an involuntary reflex that makes me tear up.

Tried Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 for a couple of hours in the free weekend on Steam and it lands in the "I can see the appeal but it's not for me" pile.

That said, I have the first game in my library from a bundle some time ago so I may eventually revisit it just in case my taste changes.

I'll be shocked if this album isn't in my most-played recap for this year. I have been absolutely hooked since this song showed up in one of my "for you" playlists. Such a diverse range of sounds from heavy and crunchy to light and dreamy, and they pull it all off flawlessly.

Buttered toast with kimchi shouldn't go this hard. Surprisingly complementary combo.

Why did I land on making that combo? 🤷‍♂️ I guess the intrusive thoughts won out.

Whether it's intentional or not, I fully believe that Powerwash Simulator is a strong allegory for managing stress.

Each level genuinely feels overwhelming at the start to me, but choosing which small goal to focus on at a time helps it become manageable until eventually everything is clean.

9070XT is installed and Nvidia's drivers have been excised. Quick impressions of Borderlands 4 are already impressive (relatively speaking) and I'm giddy thinking of what else to test out next.

I am afraid to think of the time requirement, but I think Witcher 3 is calling my name for a replay...

Back when this launched I bought it on sale for $30, beat everything, then traded it in to GameStop for $35 credit. Only time I can ever say I've been paid to play a game, and I didn't even have to review it.

Definitely worth playing for less than $20.
Sonic Frontiers (PS5) is $17.93 on Amazon buff.ly/yC8fnWQ
Xbox $12 buff.ly/iQHaw8x

$17.99 US PSN buff.ly/o0d3xFd
