Just a chill, nerdy guy with social anxiety who likes video games, music, and tech, and wants an outlet to break out of his shell.

Haven't done a #promosky in a long while, but if you like:

🎮 No console bias
🎮 JRPGs
🎮 Metroidvanias
🎮 Zelda
🎮 Yakuza
🎮 Indies

🎵 Metal
🎵 Jazz
🎵 Alternative

Then we'll probably get along. Just be aware I may struggle to interact sometimes due to social/generalized anxiety disorder.
OK, I *know* a lot of my mutuals can get this one.

Lots of great looking games on this list. I just wish I could muster up any actual hype. Definitely more of a me problem than anything.

Well Dweller I will be there day-one, but otherwise so far I'm happy to keep (re)playing what's already in my library.
If you aren't excited about gaming in 2026, well, you should be!

As great as the last few years have been, I have a feeling 2026 will be even better. I have 25 games I'm very hyped for. 13 indies, and 12 AAA/AA. Here they are!

BigNerdGaming’s 25 Most Anticipated Games of 2026
The last three years have made me love gaming more than ever before, which I certainly didn’t think was possible. There have literally never been as many good video games coming out as there …

Considering I’ve already finished 4 games this year - already coming up on 25% of what I finished all of last year - I think my plan of making a specific list of to-plays has really helped me focus and complete more than I have in a while.

I’m not just looking for numbers either, it’s all been fun.

The post-game depression/indecision after this is real. Even beyond my thoughts on the game itself, experiencing such a strong story "conclusion" after playing 3-5 the past few months has me feeling unsure where to go from here.
Game 4 - Yakuza 6

Absolute cinema.

This cements Kiryu as one of gaming's best protagonists.

RGG's storytelling chops continually improved across the series and this was perhaps their best yet.

I can't imagine I'll get many likes on this, so I will try and challenge myself to think of somewhat more obscure games.

I don't generally care about music videos, but Bilmuri makes some great ones. I've endured enough bad PowerPoint and similar presentations to genuinely love this one. (See also "LIFTHEAVYSTONEMAKESADHEADVOICEQUIET")

in case you needed YET ANOTHER reason to leave spotify: it's now the most expensive one of these things out there.

(plus all of the other reasons which never went away)

Actually curious if anyone would make any sort of weapon association with me. (I have an idea, but I don’t want to distort the discussion.)

Post a game you remember playing that nobody else remembers. 🎮

(I really should see if this is on an abandonware site and isn’t too onerous to get running on modern hardware.)

Oysterhead is probably my favorite of Les Claypool’s non-Primus bands, though the Claypool Lennon Delirium is a close runner up.

Jesse Lacey is my biggest “separate the art from the artist” hurdle. Hate him for the credible allegations, but this song is an absolutely heartbreaking tribute and their albums ‘Deja Entendu’ and ‘Science Fiction’ are masterpieces, IMO.

(Sorry, might be music posting a lot today.)

Now for something a bit different from me.

Love The Avalanches, so glad they made more than just the (fantastic) album ‘Since I Left You.’

Friends don't let friends play Fartnite. Simple as.

I still have yet to see any potential negatives from a theoretical monkey's paw wish on preventing this game from having ever become popular.
Epic Games has begun allowing Fortnite creators to implement in-game transactions directly from custom maps.

The result has been pricey bundles and one of the most popular custom games turning into what one Fortnite creator called "a gambling game targeted towards kids who don’t know any better.”

"New: Awards no longer transfer points

I'm surprised they didn't expect this but glad it's changing.

Played the demo and instantly bought it. Wave based survivor gameplay a la Brotato with a perfectly emulated PS1 aesthetic.

This could be a dangerous one for me.

Verified this is real using Nitter. Sweeney keeps outdoing himself with absolute garbage takes on everything.

I can't/won't force people how to spend their time or money, but my decision to completely boycott Epic Games is only ever reinforced. I would recommend anyone seeing this to do the same.

I'll be honest, I completely forgot that Nintendo had already announced Mario Tennis Fever and I thought this was an out-of-the-blue info drop.

Because apparently it wasn’t clear enough - this is only for my mutual followers, the people I already talk with and know on here.

Any replies from someone I don’t already know will be ignored. Also likely blocked, especially if your only Bsky activity is giveaways and asking for free games.
Attention mutual followers - are you interested in Ultrakill or Vampire Survivors on Steam?

I will have an extra key for both games after getting this bundle next week after payday and want to make sure they can go to a good home. Reply with your preferred game if interested; first to claim wins.

Random super-personal post time -

One of my enduring memories of my grandfather (mom’s dad) is how much he enjoyed westerns. Especially Gunsmoke; even if I couldn’t tell you anything about it now, I’ve seen *so much* of that show back in the day.
