Just a chill, nerdy guy with social anxiety who likes video games, music, and tech, and wants an outlet to break out of his shell.
Game 18 of 2025 - Yakuza 4 Remastered

I'm still iffy on the combat in this series, especially the boss battles. But the stories are consistently engrossing and the massive swing to feature 4 protagonists is impressively ambitious for RGG's second HD game.

I uh... I guess that completionist tendency kicked in harder than I expected. Most of it was just using the auto-play character while I worked on chores around the house, then by the time I realized most achievements were done I just locked in for a couple of hours to clean up.

(now uninstalled)

Sounded fun and I can't say I'm surprised at the results. My people skills really are not too good, but at least I usually know when to shut up and put on a good customer service facade.

We are almost exact opposites with music though. 😂

Game 17 of 2025 - BALL x PIT

It was decent. I thought from the demo during a recent Steam Next Fest that it would grab me a lot harder than it ultimately did. I'm not really feeling that completionist urge.

Kudos for wringing so many unique playstyles out of a single idea though.

I’ll be completely honest, it wasn’t at all on my radar before. But all of the hype on here has me feeling like this.

Game 15 of 2025: Yakuza 3 Remastered

I’ve slowly been making my way through the series since Kiwami hit PS Plus. It shows some growing pains going into HD for the first time and is definitely rough around the edges, especially the boss battles. But I overall still enjoyed mainlining the story.

The custom sort orders in Steam are low-key pretty nice. It was bugging me to no end that the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series was out of chronological order when it was based on alphabetical order. The Tomb Raider reboot trilogy was another offender.

And a couple more real cats, featuring the orange guy from my pfp.

It is so easy to share reality, there’s no need for regurgitated slop from “AI” programs.

Looking forward to celebrating and experiencing this album live in just a few days.

I won't pretend to be a day-one fan of the group, but I was on board not long after this album's release and I still can't believe 20 years have already passed since then...

Actually kind of proud of deducing this in one shot. Curious if anyone else can pick it out as quickly as I did.

I'm not a streamer, but I do have my Steam settings to allow my friends to watch the games I'm playing, so feel free to jump in if you're at all interested. I don't usually use a mic, but that may change with any sort of demand.

Also, moots feel free to add me. 😁

QTP with an album you’d rate a perfect 10/10 🎶

To say Ben Gibbard was cooking the year these released is an understatement; there’s no way I could only choose one of them.

And that's game 11 of 2025 complete.

I stand by my "peak 7/10-type game" post from a couple of weeks ago. It reminds me of games we used to get a lot more frequently in the PS2/3 eras.

A little jank, some decent irreverent humor, and some surprisingly fun movement options, especially end-game.

If you see this, QTP with your current game rotation.
• Disco Elysium
• Revenge of the Savage Planet
• Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
• Pokemon Emerald Seaglass

I might dip in and out of something else, but this is what I'm mainly focused on playing/beating at the moment.

Me playing the demo for Trails in the Sky 1st remake... Loved the original, don't know why I fell off after about a dozen hours in the sequel.

Also, that music is just *so* good. And the nostalgia; I'm instantly transported back some 12ish years playing it on the PSP.

I'm going to ghost everyone and move to Stardew Valley.

Post a screenshot of your first 5 Steam purchases and let Bluesky judge you.

Steam > (top right) Account Details > View Purchase History > Scroll down!

I don't know why the DLC is separate so I added the next one. Interested to see if any of my moots are as... tenured... with Steam as me.

Guilty as charged. Here's a bonus.

P - Persona (PSP remake)

This is probably the stupidest reason I've ever even temporarily dropped a game. Pausing the game and putting my PSP onto sleep mode didn't stop the in-game timer, so coming back to 50+ hours after 2 days pushed me away.

See also - Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

F - Floppy Knights

I made the mistake of starting this on Game Pass shortly before it was removed. I enjoyed it, but having to start over kind of sucked the wind from my sails.
August 2, 2025 at 2:07 AM
I'll help move it along since this seems to have stalled out.

E - Enslaved: Odyssey to the West

Wish I could say that I have a good reason for dropping it, I just kind of lost momentum for no good reason years ago. But it also feels like the type of game I can just pick back up no problem.

Top 4 Video Game OSTs

(Feel free to mentally swap out P4G with other Personas, they're all top-tier)

3rd (4th? Lost track, I just know it’s a low number) game completed in 2025.

Really like the top-down metroidvania style. Combat and exploration are tight, and the writing is solid. I didn’t quite cry, but that last scene definitely choked me up a bit.

Strong recommend. Going to pet my cats now.
