Greetings. I'm a 30+ year veteran of the games industry. I've made Lots of my own original IP like TY the Tasmanian Tiger and Blade Kitten. As well as directing some smaller lesser known IP like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed :D

I like to design characters and make comics in my "spare" time.
A re-ink and color of an old mech design I did back in the 90s and never used anywhere.

The pizza was amazing tonight. It was the best batch of dough in ages. Tasty and fluffy with a good chew.

There is a slight possibility that I may have eaten too much. I am the very special kind of full now 😊

After spending all day getting my PC back into shape, I've got some fresh dough made, and I'm going to fire up the pizza oven for dinner.

I hadn't checked in ages but I did again today and there's heaps of new Blue Skies accounts for peeps I used to follow on the X site.
If you are migrating from Twitter to Bsky and want to find more accounts to follow, there is a tool called Sky Follower Bridge that will analyze your Twitter following list and show you which accounts are also on Bsky!

Just discovered that my desktop was connected via wi-fi instead of ethernet and I spent an hour trying to work out why. The adaptor was nowhere to be found and I ended up pulling the PC apart and resetting all the cable connections on the motherboard.

That fixed it.

Back around 2011, I made a Blade Kitten spinoff comic series called 'Dirty Justice'. It grew out of the sequel Idea I had for the BK game featuring the baddie, Justice Kreel. It had some of my best sci-fi designs, which I'll be posting here later.

Here are the covers for the 4 issues.

You’ve just opened up a Star Trek themed restaurant.

What are you calling it?

"Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra"
You’ve just opened up a Star Trek themed restaurant.

What are you calling it?

Either an all you can eat restaurant called
"The measure of a man"

Or a seafood restaurant called
"The one with the whales"
You’ve just opened up a Star Trek themed restaurant.

What are you calling it?

It'll be a traditional British restaurant...

A test sprite animation from 30 years ago of Arky Optrix, a character from what would have been our follow-up adventure to Flight of the Amazon Queen. Stereo Jack was a cyberpunk superhero based on a comic of ours.

Sadly, it did not come to pass even though we designed the whole thing out.

I just found a directory stash of lots of old sprite work from the early 90s including some work-in-progress images. I think I'll post them in drips and drabs next year so you can see how I did stuff in the prehistoric days.

Here's one for a French demo of Flight of the Amazon Queen.

I have my working data drive as 2 disc in a raid 1 setup - I've been burned losing my files before. The last few days the drives were working like crazy and I thought it was malware.

Found a scan of a spaceship design I liked but never got around to finishing so here's a top-down of the Bandit Queen. I really should model it in 3D so I can print a new toy for my desk :)

Very old stuff for the between days:

Early on in the dev of Amazon Queen, I wanted to get an homage to The Creature From the Black Lagoon in the game. Here's a dialog animation test I did really early in the piece, all 32 colors and tons of Dpaint 4 gradient dithering (too much).

This is a really good point that I had not run into before: these "creators" have no further insight into their alleged creation than the average audience member and that is why it cannot be called art (besides all the other obvious reasons).

I played this at Summer CES 93 before it came out and it was heaps of anarchic fun - a bit like DK Bananza, but with a trackball. I don't know why Sega has never bothered to port this to consoles.
