Catholic private schools round the country are closing: my Alma Mater, Aton Convent and Our Lady’s Abingdon both closed this summer. But I’m carrying on the Catholic School energy at children’s church today, with a rousing rendition of “God said to Noah, there’s going to be a floody floody..”

Question: it‘s well established that it’s a racist/xenophobic microaggression to ask someone where they’re from. But if someone you are chatting to alludes to being from another country, e.g. mentions they always used to cook with a particular herb that doesn’t grow in this country 1/2
