Old but savvy. Hardcore Dem. Dual professional: law and nursing. Esoteric & eclectic to the extreme. Mother of Dogs. Immigrant, since you can't get your shit together up there. NO FUCKING CHATS. OTO, and IYKYK. Happy beats everything, so yay I win!
With the limited data released it is clear POTUS is a pedal file. Or was, when his aging circulatory system allowed him to grape children. So why isn't this the death knell of this guy being in power? Any sane person would throw him out with the trash. I'm astonished. There is no line or limit.

Nothing helps. The anxiety is there when I wake up, and it's there when I go to bed. Affirmations, prayer, yoga, meditation. Socializing. Dog cuddling. I don't want to be irresponsible and ignore what's happening, but what I can do about it is so limited, given health and logistics. Nothing helps.

Things I love about country folk: they have a strong sense of community. They understand nature. They aren't afraid of a little dirt. They are self reliant; when the nearest resource is an hour away, you better know how to handle it yourself. They have common sense. Farmers should be heroes.

We have to value rural communities. The farmers and ranchers built this country, yes on the bones of others. But not everyone wants to live in a city; I definitely do not. However, if you don't value and support the people who produce your food, you're gonna get starved when those folks don't thrive

I'm old and intelligent. What's your super power?

And yes I fully expect people to get on their morally superior soapbox and scream "no compromise." Well, good luck with that. It sure as fuck hasn't given us a peaceful world so far. Keep refusing to budge. Rock, meet hard place.

Centrists aren't evil, racist, or insane. The much denigrated centrist is a person who sees all sides of the issue and wants a sane compromise. Remember compromise? It used to be the core of political actions; you give up a little, I do too, and we meet in the middle. No compromise, no progress.

Nit pickers and purity tests. While you're criticizing the tiniest thing that you didn't consider 100% PC, the country is imploding. But noooo...you MUST make sure the commentator is not saying a vowel you disagree with, because you are the moral police for...nothing. Tired of that brand of bullshit

If rural areas had great internet access a long time ago (as was often promised) then I don't think we'd be where we are today. Uncensored, near infinite information, accessed by enough people, leads to commonality - shared truth & goals. We all need & want the same things. Why aren't we united???

We held a Wake for America in 1980, when Reagan was elected, because we understood what he represented - the filthy rich. Supply side economics was always a myth. We the people let the pathologically greedy take control of our country. Getting them out will be worse than removing bedbugs.

End the carnage. Release the Epstein files. Prove the PO(TU)S is a pedal file, and it's all over but the usual shouting.

Texas disenfranchised me. Here's how. I got a jury duty notice, and the only way I could ignore it was to declare that I don't know when I'll be back in Texas (probably never, BTW.) Now my registration is suspended, and to fix it I have to go back with my birth cert, marriage license, IN PERSON. WTF

You can't have it both ways. You can't have click and ship, oil, fast food, and a viable planet. You can't hoard wealth without sin. The choice is 1) rampant, destructive consumption or 2) learn to share and live with less so your neighbor isn't destitute. Stop using what you don't really need.

I live in a "middle" nation. I'm an immigrant, and extremely grateful to live in a place where life is saner and slower. I saw what was coming after 45, and I convinced my spouse we had to at least leave TX. That plan became get out altogether. Long story short, I came here alone and saved my life.

We elected, or at least allowed, a bucket of sin to get elected to the highest office in the nation. He's predictably destructive. The rest of the world is looking at us to fix the hot mess we created, and we are doing...not enough, for damn sure.

This isn't the first time an empire has fallen. Archeology shows many civilizations rose and fell over time, and those are the ones that left lasting ruins.
What hurts is that it's our country this time.
Unrestrained greed will always lead to destruction, since the need for more can't be satisfied.

Citizens United is nothing more than a dark money pipeline that enabled deranged, greed and power diseased megalomaniacs to avoid fair taxation, purchase the government and steal all the representation from We the People.

Tech bros are imperialists. They conquer without regard to consequences, resist all attempts at restraint, then take their money and bury it away from the societies that enriched them. Stop giving them free passes for colonizing the world and make them pay for their privileges.

I look forwards to a time when I will not have to scour my vocabulary for more words of outrage, disgust, and mourning for innocence and lives lost.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

We have a choice. It's to starve the beast that is determined to kill us all, or storm the castle with memes, placards, and outrage. Wealth comes from the bottom up. If you go in starvation mode on capitalism, and buy nothing you do not absolutely need for long enough, you'll kill the beast.

Okay, it's time for the Blue states to stop transferring federal taxes to D.C. You want to use our money to terrorize our own citizens, flat out nope. Let your impoverished, undereducated, unhealthy people in the Red states fund your domestic conflicts. We ain't paying you to kill our own people.

Texas has disenfranchised me. Clever, I got a jury duty postcard and had to say I didn't know when I'd be back in country. Hopefully, I can still vote in national elections, but this is a tricky way to take people off the voter rolls. BTW, fuck you, Texas. Fuck you very much.
