Nintendo bringing finished-but-unreleased Virtual Boy games to Switch is fantastic news. Zero Racers is an F-Zero spinoff! D-Hopper is an action adventure by Intelligent Systems! These are big deal internally-developed Nintendo games. Exciting times for big nerds

Finished Quartet this weekend! Absolutely the best "not an SNES JRPG" I've ever tried - really enjoyed the story, the great soundtrack, and the turn-based mechanics are catnip for a "fight/magic/items" type person like myself. PC only for now:

Never occurred to me that the parallels of Mario 64 and Ape Escape extends to the vacuum of Luigi’s Mansion and Pipo Saru 2001.
I think Super Mario Sunshine surely took notes of the gadgets of Ape Escape, some drive to innovate the 3D platformer further again. Ironically Ape Escape 2 plays it safe.

My general goal is to game more and be on my phone less, and focus on fewer titles instead of playing an hour of many games.

My first game finished in 2026 is Wario World for the GameCube. I went for the best ending on the Japanese version because I heard the final boss was improved upon. Features some trademark Treasure beats - namely boss encounters and puzzle rooms.

I’ve been reading One Piece on and off for a few years, I’ve finally committed to reading it purposefully and I’ve gotta say - this Sabaody Arc has the juice and I love the teases for the arcs to follow. Pure joy reading this, need to remind myself to put it down.
