A concern I have about abolishing trial by jury which I haven't seen articulated yet is that it removes one of the few examples we have of the effective use of sortition in our society. Arguably, this is something we should rely on *more* not *less*.

1/2 It doesn't make sense, and I think it's a thoughtless decision to make. It will cause some people to fall between the cracks as the municipalities try to figure out an alternative rehabilitative work program. Why change something that is working? Money.

Veikkaan, että ensi vuonna talousennusteet menevät selvästi tätä vuotta paremmin kohdalleen, koska tuntematon jarru - 4 mrd. euron sopeutusimpulssi - ei enää uudestaan iske päälle Suomen kansantaloudessa. Mutta edelleen fipo-linja on kiristävä ja vuoden 2025 hännät päällä.

She had to attack Hasan, say there's rising anti-Semitism on the left, and even apologize to Asmongold (a community that has harassed and made her life hell online)

There are people who will be like "how could this happen?" and "what went wrong?" but you really have to understand that from the perspective of the IDF, this happened because it was the plan and nothing went wrong, everything went right.
