Trying not to prejudge here, but “Star Trek Academy” was literally the name and pitch Filmation head Lou Scheimer originally made in 1969 for an animated Star Trek show, and Gene Roddenberry and D.C. Fontana shot that down because they thought it wouldn’t be “real Trek.”
