MLS will align its calendar with other top leagues worldwide, adopting a summer-to-spring season format beginning in 2027, the league announced today.
The 2027-28 season will kick off in late summer and conclude with the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs in late May.

MLS owners are *expected* to vote on flipping to fall-spring calendar at Thursday's BOG meeting. Changes to competition format also expected.
Let's see if it actually comes to a vote, but implications are enormous.

That’s right, San Diego will have its second choice ‘keeper in the net. Hope we really pepper him with different looks in the area. Make him have to work.
